ICMRA Summit 2024 Brasilia
On 12 and 13 November 2024, the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) held its annual summit and plenary meeting to discuss current and emerging issues facing medicines regulators. The meeting was hosted by the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) and brought together representatives from medicines regulatory authorities from around the world as well as experts from the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Meeting participants exchanged views also on a range of other important topics, such as lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and future preparedness for the next global health emergency, expanding regulatory strategies to improve patient access to essential medicines, and regulatory solutions to address the challenge of antimicrobial resistance.
